Women in the Gentlemen's Game
In the Summer of 2017, during a semester-long documentary-making module at University, I wrote the script and directed a Documentary on Women's Cricket in India. Partly based on the life of Former India International and journalist Snehal Pradhan, the movie tries to explore what it means to play professional cricket in India as a woman, the history of the women's cricket movement, and more.
Featuring interviews with former India internationals Shubhangi Kulkarni and Soniya Dabir. Also includes a cameo from the evergreen Jarrod Kimber. My sincere gratitude and thanks to Sidhanta Patnaik, whose encouragement went a long way in the making of this film. The film was directed and edited entirely by Malavika Kanara, a Dubai-based cinematographer and marketing professional.
